Lee Westwood’s persistent struggles in LIV Golf are a far-cry from the incredible success he achieved on the PGA Tour.

Through six events in the Saudi-backed league, Westwood has yet to earn a single point. The former world No. 1 golfer is ranked dead last in the standings and tied with Kalle Samooja, Hudson Swafford and Anthony Kim for 52nd place.

Fortunately for Westwood, he is in no danger of being relegated from LIV Golf – for now. Thanks to his standing as captain of the Majesticks GC, the 51-year-old is currently exempt from being dropped.
At the end of each season of LIV Golf, the six golfers that occupy 45th to 50th place on the leaderboard are barred from competing in the ensuing year. Westwood actually found himself below the relegation line in 2023 – placing 45th with just seven points – but was spared from being dropped due to a technicality in his contract.
