Chicago Cubs has revitalized Kyle Hendricks, which starts with 15 days of IL on Sunday. He is expected to start immediately in the team’s final game of the series against the Pirates.

Hendricks was initially admitted to the IL on April 2 due to back pain. 23. He made two rehab starts in the minors, allowing three runs, 13 strikeouts, and just three walks in 9.1 innings. Hendricks has had a tough time this year with limited major league work. Hendricks started five games and posted a 12.00 ERA, 2.095 WHIP, 16 strikeouts, and seven walks. He hit eight home runs in 21.0 innings.

. To make room for Hendriks on the major league roster, the Cubs assigned relief pitcher Jose Cuas to Triple-A Iowa. Kuas pitched in six games and pitched 8.0 innings, posting a 9.00 ERA, 1.750 WHIP, eight strikeouts, and three walks.
