Breanna Stewart Used Three Words To Describe Caitlin Clark After Liberty vs. Fever

On Saturday afternoon, the Indiana Fever traveled to New York to face the Liberty for the second time in three days. After winning the first matchup by 36 points, the Liberty did it again, this time with a final score of 91-80.

Caitlin Clark did everything she could to pick up her first WNBA win, but it was not enough. She recorded 22 points on 53% shooting and 40% from three, six rebounds, and eight assists. Breanna Stewart added 24 points and five rebounds in the victory.

After the game, Stewart sat down for a postgame press conference and discussed Clark with the media. Stewart used three words to describe Clark’s game.

Knock down shooter,” Stewart said of Clark, “As the number one pick in the draft, all players will focus on her as the top pick. All respect.”

New York sports anchor Tina Cervasio posted the quote on social media.

“Classy, veteran answer by Jonquel Jones on Caitlin Clark’s game: ‘media’s gotta give her grace…’ as she adjusts to league. Breanna Stewart on Clarke, ‘knock down shooter… as the #1 pick in the draft all players will focus on her as the top pick… all respect!'”
