Magic Johnson Uses One Word To Describe Cameron Brink’s Performance In First WNBA Win

On Tuesday night, the Los Angeles Sparks defeated the Washington Mystics by a final score of 70-68, picking up their first win of the 2024 WNBA season.

This game also marked Cameron Brink’s first official WNBA win. In the game, Brink scored four points on two of two shooting to go along with eight rebounds and three assists. Brink also made two game-winning blocks on Shakira Austin in the final three seconds of regulation. 


Former NBA and Los Angeles Lakers superstar Magic Johnson was impressed with the Sparks win and Brink’s performance. In a recent social media post, he used one word to describe Brink’s play in her first professional win. “Clutch.”

“My Los Angeles Sparks got the first win of the season at home! Rookie Cameron Brink came up clutch with the game-saving block in the 70-68 win against the Mystics. Dearica Hamby led the team with a 17 point, 18 rebound double double, followed by 20 points from Lexie Brown and 14 points from Kia Nurse!”
