Deion Sanders’ Program Accused of Cheating by Another Head Coach

Colorado State-Pueblo head coach Philip Vigil took to social media on Wednesday with a public callout of Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes program.

Vigil accused Colorado of tampering, posting what appeared to be a text conversation between one of his players and Colorado assistant director of player personnel Devin Rispress.

“Hey @NCAA and @Big12Conference, is this considered tampering, or is @Coach2Bless and @CUBuffsFootball able to recruit our current players like this?” Vigil wrote on X.

Rispress immediately called out the conversation as a fake.

“Nice try yall been catfished wrong guy brother. You could’ve hit me up before tweeting this and embarrassing your program,” Rispress wrote in the comments.

While not a direct response to Vigil’s callout, Sanders posted this message on X early Thursday morning:

“Your name means something so stop allowing simple people to get close enough to u to do simple things. A fool will ultimately do what he or she does best when opportunity present itself. Protect your name at all cost. Separate yourself NOW! Your name is all u have,” he wrote.

Vigil has not deleted the post or issued any kind of statement since his original accusation.
